Delek @ 28/04/12 17:28:14 About the sound of the VGM Player, I don't know, a NOTE ON command will sound the same for the VGM Player and for a Sonic game. Could you please give me some audio comparison?, the VGM Player is a well know software, and nobody talked about \"not perfect sounding\" of it.

Delek @ 27/04/12 16:47:16 About the sound, DefleMask is only a tracker, if the songs are not sounding in the same way that the original ones then the problem is in the author of the track, not in the VGM Player or in the Tracker (they are only writing registers, actually). Regards.

PixelProspector @ 15/09/10 01:10:20 now its much better! ...but the suggestions from the previous comment are still valid ;) http://www.pixelprospector.com
PixelProspector @ 14/09/10 21:21:38 good to know that the feedback was helpful ;) more balancing tips: tip #1 i recommend to make it also possible to control the pad with mouse. how, you may ask? you could do it that way: the pad is controlled with the mouse by default. left click is shooting. but when you press and hold right mouse button you can move the camera!! i think that is a fantastic and user friendly control mode :) ->i dont consider myself as a unexperienced player who cannot handle breakout styled games but currently the difficulty is set pretty high (mostly due to speed issues). in fact i assume that most players quit the game after they see the game over screen a 2-3 times... and only reached the 2nd level or so. tip #2 make the powerups fall slower.... oftentimes its this scenario: either the ball or the powerup.. in order to survive one will catch the ball...and has to say goodbye to th powerup moreover play these breakout games for further inspiration http://www.pixelprospector.com/?s=breakout cheers http://www.pixelprospector.com
Delek @ 14/09/10 19:08:43 Wow!, thanks!, I'm looking for feedbaks like this. Again, thank you!. About the points. 1) You are right in this point!, i tested Brilek in another PC and the pad was VERY slow. Fortunately it was corrected in the version 0.4b!!. Download and test Brilek 0.4b 2) You can use your middle mouse button, in this way you can have the left hand in the arrow keys and move the camera zoom in, zoom out and launch the ball with middle button. But, yes, the controlers will be configurable in a future release. 3) Good idea, i will test the light in pulsating mode. Thanks!. Regards, Delek.

PixelProspector @ 14/09/10 10:16:53 just had some spare time and tried brilek out. has potential. quick feedback: 1.) balancing: increase the speed of the pod and/or decrease the speed of the ball a bit.. when a powerup falls down its oftentimes imposible to get it because the ball comes down on the right side and the pwerup on the left. the pod is too slow. 2.) controls: right hand on the mouse and left hand on the arrow keys... in that position its not easy to reach comfortably the space bar. easy solution-> make it possible that the pod can be controlled with WASD and or make the controls configurable by the player :) that way you can move and shoot with the pod....with one hand. the right hand for the camera. 3.) light: the idea is nice with the light...but currently it feels a bit rough cause the light beam from the ball changes so abrubtly... maybe this idea would be good: the ball flies around but has always a illuminating 360° glowing shine around... it constantly changes from little glow to stronger glow.. it pulsates. i just made a little drawing http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/9416/brileklightning.png cheers http://www.pixelprospector.com |
